Including Others

Over the years we have had many of our Highland Heights neighbors share Grace Communion Nashville’s weekly Community Cafe meal on Sundays. We’re grateful to all of you who have stopped by. And I’m grateful to each one of our members who provided food for the meals and helped to serve it. Sad to say, after December 19, 2021, we will no longer be offering this free community service. But you are always welcome to join us for our 11 a.m. service upstairs or our monthly first Sunday of the month potluck downstairs following the service. Wishing you all a blessed holiday season!

Other outreach ministry projects we are involved with are:

  • Supporting Crossing Borders missions to Mexico who helps various communities along the US border. We help provide funds to be used by children’s homes, orphanages, and other ministries run by our GCI partners in Mexico.
  • Collecting boxed and canned food items and clothing 2 times a year which are donated to East Nashville Cooperative Ministry. This ministry provides food boxes and clothing to neighbors who are in need.
  • Participating in the Highland Heights Neighborhood Association and their community events and outreach. Visit their website
  • Partnering with Trinity Community Commons, an outreach ministry of Trinity United Methodist Church which is located on the corner of Trinity Lane and Meridian Avenue in East Nashville. Among other services to the community they offer a free meal at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays, Nashville Eats.
